8月1日，2026中山•槟城商贸文化嘉年华启动仪式于中山市金钻酒店隆重举行。马来西亚驻广州总领事韩礼仕、中山与槟城两地的商业代表等出席活动，共同见证“槟城·中山商务文旅汇”正式揭牌。两地商业代表签署多项战略合作协议及合作备忘录（MOU），象征中山与槟城携手迈向经贸、文旅、教育、品牌及产业合作的新里程碑。

马来西亚驻广州总领事馆总领事韩礼仕表示，“槟城・中山商务文旅汇”这一平台对槟城而言是绝佳机遇。双方的合作并不局限于单一协议，而是向更广阔领域拓展，现已超越传统贸易范畴，延伸至更多领域。

Zhongshan - Penang Forge Diverse Cooperation

On August 1, the launch ceremony for the 2026 Zhongshan-Penang Trade & Cultural Carnival was grandly held at the Gold Diamond Hotel in Zhongshan. Mr. Harris Alwi, Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, along with corporate representatives from both Zhongshan and Penang,  gathered to witness the official unveiling of the "Penang-Zhongshan Business & Cultural Tourism Hub." Multiple strategic cooperation agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were signed between the two sides, marking a new milestone in bilateral cooperation across trade, cultural tourism, education, branding, and industry.

Mr. Harris Alwi, Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, stated the "Penang‑Zhongshan Business & Cultural Tourism Hub" presents an excellent opportunity for Penang. Bilateral cooperation is not limited to a single agreement. It has gone beyond traditional trade and expanded into a wider range of fields.
