中港英文学校由香港著名教育实业家、慈善家蔡国赞博士于1993年创立。蔡国赞先生是2020年度中国全面小康十大杰出贡献人物，中山市荣誉市民，中山市政协第八、九届委员、第十届常委和江门市政协第十、十一、十二届委员，香港浸会大学基金荣誉主席，中山市红十字会荣誉副会长，中山市侨资协会执行会长及江门市侨商会常务副会长。
China (Hong Kong) English School (short for C.H.E.S.) was founded in 1993 by Dr Jonathan K. C. Choi, a well-known educational entrepreneur and philanthropist from Hong Kong. Dr Jonathan K.C. Choi is the Top Ten Outstanding Contributors to China’s Comprehensive Well-off Society in 2020, Honorary Citizen of Zhongshan City, Member of the Eighth and Ninth CPPCC, Member of the Tenth Standing Committee of the Zhongshan CPPCC and Member of the Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth CPPCC of Jiangmen CPPCC, Honorary President of the Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation, Honorary Vice President of Zhongshan Red Cross Association, Executive President of Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Commercial Association and Executive Vice Chairman of Jiangmen Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
近年来，学校先后被国家教育部授予“全国民办学校先进集体”、被民政部授予“全国先进社会组织”、被中国红十字会授予“红十字会人道服务奖”等荣誉称号。在由权威机构评选的“千所国际学校竞争力排行榜”中，“中港”排名广东省第13名、中山和江门两市第1名，成为名扬粤港澳大湾区的国际名校。

中港英文学校在改革开放初期创立，领时代风气之先——1994年9月在中山石岐区正式开办全市第一所民办英文幼稚园，1996年开办全市第一所民办英文小学。在此基础上，于2000年在五桂山生态保护区开办了中学部。1997年在江门高新技术开发区扩办江门五邑地区第一所民办英文国际学校——江门中港英文学校（含幼稚园、小学和初中）。目前，中港英文学校在中山和江门地区已形成从幼稚园、小学、初中到高中完整的办学体系，在校学生逾5000人，老师员工共达700余人。
C.H.E.S. was established in the early period of reform and opening up. In September 1994, the first private English kindergarten was officially set up in Shiqi District, Zhongshan city, followed by the first private English primary school in 1996. Four years later, the middle school was established in the Wuguishan Ecological Zone in 2000. In 1997, the school expanded a new campus in Jiangmen High-tech Development Zone, becoming the first private English International School in Jiangmen (including kindergarten, elementary school and junior high school). Up to now, C.H.E.S. has formed a complete school system from kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school to high school in Zhongshan and Jiangmen. There are more than 5,000 students in the school and a total of more than 700 teachers and staff.

Since its establishment 30 years ago, C.H.E.S. has always adhered to the concept of quality education and international education, advocating the principle of small class teaching and maintaining a high teacher-student ratio of 1:7. Regular lectures and visits to large companies are organized for the students, such as filed trips to the international companies Mentholatum Co. ltd and Emerson Energy Co. ltd, visits to financial institutions such as China Construction Bank and GF Securities Company, and also five-star hotels, etc. These activities provided opportunities for the students to integrate textbook knowledge closely with social practice.
中港英文学校幼稚园采用蒙特梭里幼儿教学法，以活泼生动、趣味盎然的中英文双语教学，让幼童在潜移默化下学习各种知识和生活技能。
The kindergarten adopts Montessori teaching method, combing with enlightening and interesting bilingual teaching in Chinese and English, cultivating young children with various knowledge and life skills in a subtle way.
中港英文小学和初中部（即一年级至九年级）在完成国家的课程大纲后，特别加强英语教育，英语教材采用英国朗文版本，自然科学亦以英语教授。英语科全由资深外教和英语本科学士或硕博士任教。
Apart from completing the national curriculum syllabus, the Primary and Junior High Schools (grades 1 to 9) have specially strengthened English education by adopting the Longman English Curriculum and the natural sciences are also taught in English. All English subjects are taught by experienced foreign teachers and English undergraduates or masters.
中港英文中学高中部（即十年级至十二年级）采用英国剑桥大学高级课程（A-Level）并以全英语教学。所有学科皆由资深外教和海外名校毕业硕博士任教。学校多年来与海外和香港地区许多大学紧密合作交流，打通高中毕业生直升海外著名大学和香港大学的绿色通道。2020年，在全国培生英语能力比赛中，“中港”从70多家国际双语学校中脱颖而出，荣获第1名；而近年，数百名“中港”学生考获雅思6分以上高分，其中尹钟完（8.5分）、何佩柔（8.5分）、吴华赞（8分）、周子翰（8.0）等还获得超高分（哈佛、剑桥、牛津、斯坦福等名校雅思录取分为7分，其他国际名校一般为6分或6.5分）。
The high school section of C.H.E.S (from Grade 10 to Grade 12) adopts the British Cambridge General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level and teaches all subjects in English. All subjects are taught by senior foreign teachers and masters and doctors graduated from prestigious overseas universities. Over the years, the school has collaborated closely with many universities in Hong Kong and overseas to provide multiple further study articulations for high school graduates to directly enter famous overseas universities and the universities in Hong Kong. In the National Pearson English Proficiency Competition in 2020, C.H.E.S. stood out from more than 70 international bilingual schools and won the first place. Since the first graduating class from high school in 2006, C.H.E.S. has nurtured nearly 2,000 outstanding graduates to go directly to nearly 100 prestigious universities overseas.
