As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, mooncakes made in Zhongshan have seen a surge in exports. According to statistics from Zhongshan Customs, 600 tons-valued at approximately 47 million RMB-were exported under its supervision from January to August this year.

According to statistics, traditional Cantonese mooncakes, such as those with egg yolk and lotus seed paste, accounted for about 90% of Zhongshan's total mooncake exports. However, newer products like the fruit sorbet mooncakes also gained consumer favor due to their low sugar, low oil, and refreshing texture.

Consumers are advised to purchase mooncakes from reputable and reliable stores and to carefully check the packaging integrity, production date, expiry date, and ingredient list. 中秋佳节临近，中山企业生产的月饼迎来出口高峰。据中山海关统计，今年1月至8月，经该关监管出口的月饼已超600吨，货值约4700万元人民币。
