2026年11月12日是伟大的民族英雄、伟大的爱国主义者、中国民主革命的伟大先驱孙中山先生诞辰160周年纪念日。中国人民政治协商会议第十四届全国委员会常务委员会近日宣布，届时将举行隆重的纪念活动。

孙中山曾孙、孙中山中心基金会主席孙国雄对此满怀期待。 他透露，计划与家乡中山的孙中山故居纪念馆合作，于2026年在中山举办第36届孙中山宋庆龄纪念地联席活动，宣传孙中山文化资源、扩大中山城市影响力、增进中外文化交流。

160th Birth Anniversary

November 12, 2026, marks the 160th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, a great national hero, great patriot and great forerunner of China's democratic revolution. The Standing Committee of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee recently announced that a grand ceremony will be held to commemorate this occasion. 

Leland Sun, great-grandson of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and Chairman of the Sun Yat-sen Center Foundation, expressed strong anticipation for the event. He revealed plans to collaborate with the Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen in Zhongshan, Dr. Sun's hometown, to host the 36th Joint Conference of Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching Ling Memorials in Zhongshan in 2026. The event aims to promote Sun Yat-sen's cultural legacy, boost Zhongshan's global influence, and foster cultural exchanges between China and other nations.
